Oceanário de Lisboa - Lisbon's main aquarium

The Oceanário de Lisboa is located in Parque das Nações, Lisbon. It is one of the largest aquariums in Europe with a huge and very impressive central tank, home for various sharks, manta rays, barracudas, even Portugal's favorite fish the bacalhau and much much more. At each corner of the central tank there are four smaller tanks kept at different temperatures according to the needs of the various animals from around the globe who are housed there. Very educational with good written explanations of all the species all around the aquarium. A real favorite for a family outing and one visit is never enough.
